There has been some confusion over which DIY stores are open and closed and what the rules for visiting them are during the lockdown.
If you're itching to paint your walls or finish a project you started in 2015 and want to do some DIY shopping then this list should help you determine where you can acquire your goods from both online and in person.
In-person shopping options:
B and Q

Hide AdDepending on your location you may be able to visit a B and Q store in person as over half of their shops are now open.
There are strict social distancing guidelines in place and some stores are putting shoppers who want paint in their own queue to speed up the process.
Most store opening hours are between 8am - 5pm.

Homebase began to re-open their stores on April 25.
The shop has made some adjustments to their tills to ensure the safety of their staff and customers including social distancing guidelines on the floor and screens at tills.

Their shops have remained open since the start of the pandemic as they sell essential items such as hygiene products and baby food.

You may have to queue to get into the shop but if you want to save time on delivery then it may be worth it.

Wickes
As shops are closed your best bet may be waiting in an online queue for a delivery slot.
Due to the high demand for DIY supplies, many of their products have sold out.
A click and collect service is available.
